Anders Astrup Andersen

Anders Astrup Andersen is a Copenhagen-based designer, working primarily within furniture and interior design. With a background in both architecture and design, Anders seeks to create objects that complement space, with a clear concept, function, and aesthetic. Anders works with a strong belief in immediate intuition when designing, resulting in objects that reflect past experiences and inspirations, from various aspects of life. To Anders, it's paramount to create good honest products that should blend in with people’s everyday lives. Being subtle while maintaining character and identity.

Anders has a Master of Fine Arts in Design from Lund University and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Architecture and Design) from Aalborg University. Having a background in both an artistic and a technical discipline, Anders draws on an artistic and intuitive approach, rationalized by his technical background. Anders has worked in several internationally recognized design studios and architectural offices throughout the years.
